Endlich offenbaren sie ihre bisher strikt geheim gehaltenen Beziehungen zu zwei berühmten Persönlichkeiten der europäischen und russischen Kunstszene: Der französische Filmemacher Jean-Luc Godard als intellektueller Übervater aus dem Westen und die vom Sowjetregime geschätzte Vorzeige-Primaballerina Maya Plisetskaya spielen essenzielle Rollen. MADE IN RUSSIA soll den großen Durchbruch auf dem westlichen Kunst- und Performancemarkt sichern, doch zuvor reflektieren Andrianov und Soulimenko ihre wechselvolle künstlerische und persönliche Entwicklung anhand von Songs, Geschichten und Tanzstilen. Ein heißes postkommunistisches Kriegsgefecht der östlichen und westlichen Kulturklischees.
Oleg Soulimenko and Andrei Andrianov, two artists originally from Russia, are presenting their new project MADE IN RUSSIA. They are finally revealing their ties to two famous personalities of the European and Russian cultural scene, which have been kept secret up to now. The French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard as an intellectual father-figure from the West and Maya Plisetskaya, the quintessential Soviet prima ballerina highly regarded by the authorities, play important roles in the new piece. MADE IN RUSSIA is meant to ensure a breakthrough on the Western art and performance market. First, however, Andrianov and Soulimenko deliberate their varied artistic and personal development through songs, stories and dance styles. A hot post-communist battle of Eastern and Western cultural clichés.
